Ordinary single-wire drawing can obtain extremely fine fibers, and its cross-sectional shape and surface state can reach the best state, the surface is smooth, and the size is accurate. But the production efficiency is low and the mold cost is high, so the price is very expensive. By adopting the method of cluster drawing, dozens or even hundreds of wires are drawn on a mold at the same time, which greatly improves the production efficiency and reduces the cost. Cluster drawing is to draw the raw metal wire in a sheath (such as a copper sheath), repeat it for many times, and add an annealing process in the middle. After reaching a certain diameter, it will be cut into sections, put together, and then installed in the sheathing material to continue. Draw until the required fiber diameter is obtained. The sheathing material can be dissolved with acid (eg nitric acid), and finally the desired metal fibers are obtained.
